| Description: | We’d like to begin our fundraising effort for next season. Last year, following the flood, we partnered with the Nashville Sounds who sponsored a “Jess Neely Night” at their ballpark. We are excited to announce that we will be doing this again on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 7:05 p.m. This is a great time to schedule this because families with school children will be back in town. It will even give us an opportunity to sell tickets to the families of friends at school who aren’t directly involved with Jess Neely Baseball. What a great way to build community while also benefiting our fantastic league! |

| Description: | Nashville Sounds Head Groundskeeper Thomas Trotter will be our lead instructor. This is a very talented individual that knows how to care for a baseball field. He has Greer looking great, and I know for a fact that you have to be a professional to accomplish that. Thomas has agreed to provide a 30 minute clinic starting @ 11:00 am Saturday March 17th. Spring Training will follow the 11:30 am session.
I would like for at least all of the head coaches to attend as our administration feels that our coaches learning how to take care of a field before and after the game is vital to preserving our fields. We do not expect our coaches to prepare the field before hand and care for the field after the game alone. This is a learning experience for you to provide volunteers from your teams to help in doing this. I encourage you to spread the word to other parents and possible volunteers as well. |

Draft day is finally here Sunday March 18th. We will go through this draft as quickly as possible so please be on time. If you are not on time we will move to the next age group and you will lose your time slot. You will be moved after the 11 & 12 draft.
5 & 6-2:00pm
7 & 8-2:00pm
9 & 10-2:30pm
11 & 12-3:00pm
We will have a coaches meeting at 3:30 pm to discuss rules, field reservations and park clean up days. Please have your schedule request, uniform colors and team names ready as well. Please don't forget about the Nashville Sounds ground crew at the park on March 17th at 11:00 am for field training. Spring training will follow at 11:30am.
